The sinister and supernatural forces that haunt the Further return in Insidious: The Red Door, the fifth installment of the bone-chilling franchise. The film follows Josh and Renai Lambert, 10 years after their terrifying encounters with the spirit realm. Their lives seem to have returned to normal, with Josh’s occult skills honed to a minimum. However, when a mysterious family seeking help from Elise’s former partner, Specs, and Tucker, they soon find themselves at the center of an eerie and macabre nightmare.

Their investigation into an allegedly possessed family’s home sets off a chain of mysteries that threaten to disrupt their lives and even the afterlife. Josh is haunted by his family’s dark past – an ominous, glowing red door symbolic of the traumatic secrets buried deep within their psyche. The red door represents more than just a ghostly door – it harbors forbidden memories that jolt Josh to re-examine the essence of the Further.
