When a charismatic con artist in their 60s gets out of prison after decades, they realize they have one final shot to turn their life around in this heartwarming comedy-drama, My Old Ass. Embodying the essence of a vintage rogue still trying their luck, our hero navigates life outside the walls, confronting age, technology, and family, the biggest mystery of all.
The movie witnesses our hero, brought to life by the inimitable Peter Dinklage, embark on an unforgettable odyssey of cheating death and outwitting society to gain back the life and people they cherished after multiple decades spent in the dark.
Peter Dinklage plays the movie’s charismatic anti-hero, an ever wise and funny man that always tumbles into troublesome troublemaker schemes with every door he stumbles upon. Dinklage manages to display his characters painful introspection as their antics tend to hurt those they seek to protect.
Hannah Gross plays the sophisticated daughter who tries everything she can to help her family and maintain some sanity with the family under siege from years of her father’s antics. Scott Speedman plays the intelligent but fed up brother in law trying hard to protect his own from his father in law’s old scams.
Director Ben Lewin transforms the dynamic relationships between the characters and the comedic world they find themselves lost in. Also starring: J.K. Simmons and Harriet Sansom Harris.
